Hyderabad based 1 year old start-up MartMobi becomes the latest Indian start-up to be selected to TechStars-often considered the world’s most successful accelerator. Founded by Serial technology entrepreneurs, Satya Krishna Ganni and Pramod Nair, MartMobi will leverage this opportunity to expand its footprint globally with strong focus on US expansion.

TechStars is one of the most competitive and sought after startup accelerator programs globally, with less than 1% of the companies that apply to the program being accepted every year. That makes the program harder to get into than Harvard or Yale.
“Having tasted success in India and the US through partnerships with market leaders such as Shopify, Zepo, Bigcommerce, Yahoo and Amazon, we would like to now quickly scale to more than 15,000 customers globally in the next 2 years,” says CEO Satya.
MartMobi was started with seed capital from IIIT Hyderabad and later raised funding from BitChemy Ventures and Srini Koppolu,the former Managing Director of Microsoft’s India Development Center.The company offers an end-to-end mobile commerce platform for online stores, brands and retailers to go mobile seamlessly. In addition they provide powerful analytics and marketing toolkit and deep shopping cart integrations.

TechStars mentors include Foursquare CEO Dennis Crowley, Tumblr CEO David Karp, HubSpot co-founder and CTO Dharmesh Shah, and Fred Wilson of Union Square Ventures.
