Vibe App, The fastest way to know everything about your contacts

Ever wished that you had a little more information about that recent email you received or wondered if you could get the linkedin profile from the email in the business card that you just exchanged?

Enter Vibe. Vibe app is an email-to-information API for sales & marketing people that finds out all the social and professional data of the person behind an email. In short, it is an easy to use people research tool.

The US based startup claims that Majority of Vibe users are sales, business development and recruitment professionals. If you are a person who receive/see a lot of emails every day, Vibe can help you in people research. The app makes it very simple to research any email address and helps you be better informed about your leads, prospects or contacts.

Vibe uses a hybrid (technology + human) model of data collection which makes it the most accurate data aggregator on the planet with the best coverage of data. Vibe collects information from across the internet, which is then verified by a team of data researchers.

Inception Story

Vibe was founded by Jofin Joseph and Arjun R Pillai in February 2014. Infact, it was ‘accidentally’ launched. The team was doing their regular works and suddenly their product found a mention about Vibeapp from Product Hunt. Somehow Vibe had been discovered! and to their surprise, right from that moment, they started getting traffic.

Within a week of the ‘accidental’ launch, Vibe evolved with quite a few changes. They started getting healthy traffic. They got several hundred users including their first set of paying customers. More importantly, the team could clearly see the immense interest and users were talking about how the product would add value to their lives.

Vibe (also) for Business

Vibe connects with CRMs to update the data records with the most relevant information about leads and customers. The app also enriches CRM data with professional, social and behavioural information about leads to help sales people in qualifying, prioritising and selling better to the customers. Furthermore, the Vibe Prospector service enables collection of leads from the 200M rich database of Vibe and the public internet.

Vibe also integrates with Salesforce, Pipedrive and provides a custom cleanse service where it delivers data in formats that can be imported directly into any CRM / Marketing  / Customer Support systems.

Our Take

Having heard so much about the app, we decided to test it ourselves. The results were pretty impressive. On hovering our own email address, we could find a lot of information. There were several social profiles including our website. There was a correct description about Geekopedia, and also there were a few related photos. We tested it further with a couple of our friends’ email addresses and we were happy with the results. However, there were some moments where the app could not figure out any of the social profiles for certain emails.

Nevertheless, the information available at just a hover of the mouse pointer is something we really admired. We were impressed by the power of the app, something that looks so simple could be so powerful and empower you with so much information. Kudos to the Vibe app team. We loved the app! you should also give it a try
