Apartum is the first comparison site for holiday rentals. They search and compare for the best deals in holiday apartments around the world.Alright, holiday rentals are just so much better than hotels. But did you know that the same apartment you just found you could get much less depending on where you book it from? That’s why they are here! APARTUM finds the apartment you are looking for and shows you all the available prices for it.
Apartum was founded in 2013. Sergi, the CEO and co-founder, had been working in the holiday rentals sector for quite a while. One day, he realized there were price comparison tools for hotels, flights, insurance but there wasn’t any specific comparison site for holiday rentals. This is how Apartum became the first comparison site for holiday rentals.
Sergi and Manu are the founders of Apartum. Sergi works nowadays as CEO and Manu holds and advisory role. The team is formed by Paco, Chief Marketing Officer; Sergio, Content Manager; Alberto, Chief Technical Officer, Manel, Developer and Alberto C., PR Manager. They are quite proud of the search algorithm they have developed. Comparing hotels has no serious technical difficulties, as hotels are usually listed under the same name/characteristic/in every website. This doesn’t happen with holiday rentals, as one apartment may be listed as “sunny 4-bed apartment” in one site and as “great apartment close the station” in another site. They have developed a unique algorithm that is able to detect similar apartments in different websites so they can compare them and always offer users the best prices.
They see themselves as the number one holiday rentals comparison site in the world in terms of offer and revenue.Their goal is to incorporate not only the biggest players (Booking, HomeAway) but also smaller local partners in up to seven markets in order to offer the users a wider range of properties in every corner of the world.
