The company is founded by Anirvan Dam & Lovekesh Sharma. They both have more than 8 years of corporate experience in globally famous organizations. After reaching the senior management role and responsibilities, Anirvan thought of Joognu while coming back from a road trip. He felt the need of preserving everything beautiful which happens in life and one of the best things to happen to a human is – becoming a parent. That’s when Joognu germinated in mind. It had to be unique, beautiful, expressive and easy to use. Ease should be such that anyone who can write a mail can use Joognu. It should be expressive – that’s when the Joognu character came to life. It has to be unique – features like logging prayers, uploading documents and making video are the example of that. They have got the best tech team on board which is being managed by Abhishek Desai and Nachiket Patel. They have been into this space for the past 10 years and are responsible towards the product maintenance and development. Launched in 2011, they have more than 20000 members across 51 countries. Joognu speaks the language of emotions.
Businesses are always seeking innovative, efficient ways to expand into new markets. When growing a business, it’s vital to exude professionalism in order to gain customer trust. Since theirs is an emotional marketing, they decided to launch an android app. This happen in Jan 2013 and after that they have seen an exponential rise in registrations and uploads. Till the last month, they had crossed more than 110,000 uploads already. Considering that they are based in a still maturing Internet market – India – 110,000 uploads is Big. Now they think is the right time to scale up to US, UK and other countries. In future they see Joognu’s presence across more than 125 countries. Till now, they are present across 51 countries.

Currently they are free and online. Their intent is to reach a broad audience across the globe. Once they are successfully in building a bigger audience then they will come up with the revenue streams which are already in the draft form. To start with they have come up with video letters as one of the first revenue stream. They have recently got an angel investment of $1oo,ooo and are also looking for investors to raise $1 Million for their global expansion plan.
