MebelKart.com is an e-commerce company in niche home furnishing/decor market. MebelKart is focused on making furniture shopping easier, reliable and cost-effective. It is currently operational in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.
This new venture aims on providing its Customers “a world class experience” in Furniture retail. Formed by Industry professionals from IIT’s and BITS, the Company wishes to bring transparency into the system of Furniture selling through the use of technology. MebelKart intends to use various technical tools to make the process of furniture selling customer friendly and seamless.
India’s infrastructure is growing at the rate of 30%. The Indian furniture market is currently worth $8 billion and growing at a rate of 30 per cent compounded annually with the organized Indian furniture accounting for 15 per cent. There are very few recognized brands and consumers face many problems while buying furniture. The company’s goal is to organize and aggregate this fragmented market. The team also states that for some categories MebelKart is the largest online retailer in India.
Some years down the line, the founders would like to see MebelKart as a highly reputed player in the online furniture market.
“We intend on creating a brand name for ourselves and becoming the “Biggest Online Player” in the furniture and home décor segment in India. The kind of response we are receiving from our audience, we will achieve this soon in future.”
MebelKart is already present in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Chennai. They are also building web & mobile technologies for making a customer’s selection procedure & purchase easier. Furthermore, they plan to expand to reach to tier-2 cities, adding more categories to their portfolio.

Rajneet Vimal, Rahul Agarwal and Nikhil Saraf jointly found MebelKart in September 2012 in Bangalore. Ranjeet, an IIT (Bombay) alumnus, is responsible for designing and development of mebelkart’s products and online marketing branding of MebelKart. Rahul, also an IIT (Kanpur) alumnus, handles strategy & Business development for Mebelkart, while Nikhil, BITS (Pilani) alumni, takes care of the Technologies and operations at Mebelkart.
Together, this founding trio aspires to revolutionize the way people buy furniture. They believe MebelKart is all about using technology to its best, to make the online user experience seamless and as close to reality as possible.
