Musicfellas is social music discovery platform to explore new independent artists. Artists make more money by selling their music online and take a major cut. Users discover, discuss and buy new music via friends. One can listen to full song, share, discuss and meet new people via music at Musicfellas. And if one likes it, one can buy their songs and albums as well. The music is the sole property of the artists themselves. Musicfellas just happen to be the connectors between artists and the fans. It is India’s first and probably only market place for artists to upload and sell their music directly to the fans.
We’ve been music fans for as long as we can remember. Throughout this time, we’ve discovered many new artists who have enriched our lives with their music. Through Musicfellas, we want to help you discover these new artists, adds mayank.
Musicfellas is founded by Mayank Jain & Gaurav Shahlot. Mayank graduated from IIT Roorkee as a Mechanical Engineer; then he joined JP Morgan as a Private Banking technologist. But, his passion of music and desire to improve the music scene, led him to start Musicfellas. Gaurav is a computer science graduate and physics major from BITS Pilani, he worked with Oracle in Business Intelligence before co-founding Musicfellas. He leads the product at musicfellas and is obsessed with building a pixel perfect design.
The music is legal as they license the music from the artists directly and share the revenues with them at the terms agreed upon by the artists. It is platform for the new artist to reach to their fans as they accept all genres and encourage variety. They also accept the music is any language.
So all the music fans get started with the music at Musicfellas and have a happy listening & sharing.
