Beautiful resumes are keys to bag that perfect job opportunity you had applied for. With ever increasing competition, it is crucial that your resume stands out from the crowd. But how do make sure it does? Enter pdfCV. This clean web application does one thing and does it well – it helps you create a resume (or CV) in a pdf file format. The final product looks professional and solid, unlike some other products that look more like a printed webpage than a solid document. Its premise is that you don’t want to waste your time playing around with the file layout or visual style: these are provided by pdfCV. Content is the king and that’s where your attention should be.
It helps you stay focused on content by guiding you through the process. The entire process is as simple as an ‘installation wizard’. Just answer the questions posted to you which finally results in a beautiful and an impressive resume. One can also further simply this process by importing their Linkedin profile for free. This way it literally takes only 2 minutes to create a resume!
Once your information is there, all you need to do is apply one (or more) of the templates. You change the look of your resume with a single click of a button: it doesn’t get much simpler than that. And that’s not all, you can also create your resumes in Spanish, Italian, Lithuanian besides the default language, English.
pdfCV was founded by Tadas Tamošauskas in London. Tadas, himself was trying to create a good looking CV using word process but the entire process from making the CV to converting it to a pdf document was cumbersome and frustrating. So he decided to do a research on the internet and to his surprise most of the online tools he found were not capable of creating a really good looking resume. It was this frustrating experience that led to the foundation of pdfCV.
“I rolled up my sleeves and a few weeks later, pdfCV was live. It was February 2011. A month later a landed an awesome job using a CV created using pdfCV”, remembers Tadas.
pdfCV has seen a stable growth recently. 100-200 new CVs are created every day and the numbers are going up. The website offers both free and pro accounts. The pro account as the name suggests provides access to premium templates and some more extra features. But if you just want to check out how simple this entire resume making process is, the free account will work just fine.
