PriceBaba was founded in May 2012 by Annkur Agarwal who started as an online retailer at the age of 15 in 2002. He did that for several years, before moving into a media business. He also founded OnlyGizmos.com thus fueling the gadgets ecosystem in India. He is supported by Tirthesh & Keyur . Tirthesh is a pro techie who has single handedly created all that you see at PriceBaba. Co-incidentally even he has been a retailer during his college days, selling computers and laptops. He is now a technical mentor for several startups In Mumbai area. Keyur is still an engineering student at MPSTME (NMIMS) and co-founder of GujjuTips. He is considered as ninja who is responsible for user testing and marketing.
PriceBaba brings the best of online and offline worlds. In an age where people research online, but majorly buy offline, it allows consumers to know what is out there in the real world by just running an online search. As far as the growth of company is considered they expect to have 5 million monthly users in India in couple of years. They believe that so long as they are powering trade, they could make money off it. That said, they are currently exploring how to add immense value to small and mid-sized retailers.
Currently they are seeing a growth rate of approximately 50% month on month. They have some really interesting products and business updates that is in works & they can’t wait to release the next version of PriceBaba!
