Tech Startup Jetivity helps you to meet new people with similar interests

jet1Whether you’d like to meet new people in your area, want more friends, or are looking for things to do, Jetivity makes it easy.  Jetivity allows users to organize and attend events, such as pick-up games, yoga sessions, or bar crawls, with the goal of meeting new people at the activity. Since everyone at an event will have at least one thing in common – they all enjoy the activity they’re there to do – it’s much easier to form new friendships.  The website is designed to help users through the process of organizing an event by providing event outlines and allowing users to collaborate on the planning of events. Jetivity is unique in the social media realm in that personal information is not required to use the service: only an email address, display name, and password are necessary. In addition, Jetivity is completely free to use.

Jetivity was founded in 2014 by Suzanne Hayen as a solution to the problem of how to meet people with similar interests in the real world.  Suzanne was trying to meet other expectant mothers in her neighborhood who might have an interest in walking together, but quickly discovered that there weren’t any tools available to easily connect with others.  She and her husband created Jetivity to provide a free way to help others make new friends.Jetivity is unique in that it is organized around one-time events rather than groups.  This makes it much easier for users to plan events since they don’t have to commit to starting and running a club.  It’s also easier to find events to attend because you don’t have to be part of a group first to see what activities they’re planning. The plan is for Jetivity to ramp up over the next few years.  There are currently events being planned in a handful of cities, and as the site grows in popularity, it will spread by word of mouth.Jetivity is completely free to use and is supported entirely by ad revenue.
