Travel startup Faralong launches with a €500000 giveaway to its clients

FAR_logo_RGB_black Faralong is a digital booking platform connecting travelers more directly to travel services worldwide. Sleek and easy to use, it paves the way for digitizing the adventure travel market. An experienced team of adventurers and industry specialists from Finland validated the idea for the platform with a stunning 100% success rate on their first funding round.

It is a travel company based in Estonia. As a part of Finland-based Summit Travel Group, it is listed as a responsible travel agent in EU consumer liability and insurance programs. Founded in 2015, the sales platform has been in open-beta from 1st of June, officially launched on June 25th 2015.It aims to provide the best digital market place for well-tested and praised products from the travel industry. It provides high-quality, full-service tour packages from trusted local operators with great user experience and supportive tools and pricing.

“Our investors trusted us in creating the best possible solution to sell tour packages, the initial €500 000 investment is proof of that trust. We want to share that feeling with our clients and offer them the same amount to spend with us, so they can see for themselves that we are simply the best place for buying these tours. Collecting the first round of funding was surprisingly easy. We pitched our idea to five preferred investors and all were in. I don’t know any startups with a 100% success rate. I guess that says a lot about the value we create,” says Kalle Viira, CMO of faralong.

The first 5000 registered accounts on Faralong will receive €50 into their wallet, and by inviting friends, another €50 can easily be earned. This amount can be used for booking any of our tours in the future. The account provides the option to create a bucket list, getting personalized updates when favorite tours get cheaper, or when something similar is added to faralong product portfolio.

“Our pricing is based on actual costs from the providers, and everyone pays according to the number of people in the group. This sharing aspect is a big thing for us,” Viira continues.

The possibilities of Faralong are endless but the real idea behind it all is to connect travelers more directly to local operators around the world, and to each other while cutting the costs for both parties by digitizing the process.

Geekopedia wishes Faralong best wishes for future endeavors.
