Microsoft, today, launched its most awaited email service Outlook.com after months of previews and beta launches. With over 60 million active users in just six months, Outlook.com is said to be the fastest growing email service in the world.
This modern email service offers a variety of new features to its users. It helps the customers connect to popular social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter giving them the power to keep up to date with their friends right from their mailbox. Moreover, as SkyDrive powers Outlook.com, one can also send hundreds of photos and videos in one single message. And then, there is Sweep, a feature that helps users clear out their inbox by mass deleting, moving and archiving messages
What happens to the @hotmail.com account then?
Microsoft in their blog said that they would slowly upgrade the Hotmail user to Outlook.com They further mentioned in their blog
“The upgrade is seamless and instant for Hotmail customers; everything including their @hotmail.com email address, password, contacts, etc., will stay the same”
