TableAir is a smart, connected table with unique lifting process for tech-savvy executives and demanding individuals who care about their health as much as productivity. With the help of a user-friendly smartphone app, the workstation can be scheduled to take lower or higher positions according to selected time settings. While working, TableAir keeps you on track when posture change is advised. Special construction lets you lift up to 100 kg – a unique electric motor technology makes the process not only smooth, but also very silent – most competitor tables offer loud and slow motion. Integrated LED ambient lighting can become the focal point of any interior. Everything runs on a custom-designed CPU board inside the table – it can be accessed in two ways: via the TableAir app or through embedded distance sensing module (which also works as a smart button). They thought about the height-adjustment as an extension of your movement. TableAir feels exactly that.
During the first half of 2014, the founders of TableAir were in search of a quality standing desk that would be the highest grade product from design, interactivity, technological point of view and were unable to find one that would combine all of these verticals. So they created the prototype and rented a showroom space in Elephant & Castle, London (A cheap way to showcase your product and get an initial feedback in a container space). That’s where they sold first TableAirs. Things were moving fast, TableAir was featured in many top-level publications (e.g. NYTimes, Slate, Wired) and this is how they decided to turn this side project of theirs into a real company. TableAir then raised initial seed round from venture capital and also has a private angel investor (who is one of the most influential people in furniture industry in the Eastern Europe and is helping the team with scaling the business and its operations). More than 100 tables were sold in less than a year.
TableAir was founded by two entrepreneurs – Lukas Lukosevicius (background in Design; Storyboarding; 3D modeling; Animation; Illustrations.). Lukas was working with UI for JPMorgan in London before TableAir. He is the designer and CEO of TableAir. Other co-founder – Justinas Vilimas (current CTO) is the technical guy in the team (full-stack developer with background in Android, Hardware, iOS, Mac, Web, and Windows.)
With TableAir they were able to combine design, interactivity and technology and believe it’s an exceptional and unique product that breathes some fresh air into the whole sit-to-stand game. Unique lifting process is one of the most exciting features of TableAir-with the distance sensing module (or Smart Button) all you have to do is hold out your hand. The table does the job, rising to meet your hand then. With the help of a user-friendly smartphone app (for both Android and iOS devices), the workstation can be scheduled to take higher or lower positions according to selected time settings that suit your needs. TableAir always keeps you on track when posture change is advised. Integrated LED ambient lighting can become the focal point of any interior. It can be fully adjusted on a wide color spectrum using the companion app or by using a smart button. They see TableAir not only as a manufacturer of sit-to-stand workstations, but more like the company that manufactures a wide range of beautiful consumer electronics and software that enable healthy lifestyle, productivity and boost well-being at the office/home as a whole.
