SlideAwesome lets you create Image Sliders without any plugin and coding
SlideAwesome creates fantastic looking free slideshows for your website. It’s not a plugin. It uses a different, high performance technology to create SEO ready image sliders that are easy to set up, load super fast and have none of the maintenance and security headaches of plugins.Being web developers they’ve built SlideAwesome to do what they need to delight their clients. That means no crazy effects, just the classics done well, and some uniquely useful features like sliders that automatically update from RSS feeds.
It was founded early 2015, but the seed for SlideAwesome was sown late 2014 when a vulnerability was found in a widely-used WordPress image slider plugin (revslider), and they knew of a number of sites that had been hacked because of it. They’ve known of more since, and other sites hacked because they’d incorrectly set permissions on folders to allow upload of images, and left them wide open to attack – unfortunately its easily done.
They had created other products that used HTML injection technology to add components like widgets and forms to user’s websites, and knew this would have advantages for image sliders. The technique doesn’t involve any code or uploads on the customer’s server, so there’s no security worries, and no need to keep code maintained and updated – just add the embed code to your page and forget about it.There are plenty of image sliders out there, but they figured our ‘zero security hassles’ approach and some unique features could bring something new to the scene, so they went for it.
Founders of slideaweosome are two brothers: Matt Francis and Dave Francis. They’ve been working in web design and software development for a few years now, but this is the first project they’ve worked on together. Unfortunately they’re on different sides of the globe (Texas and Vietnam) but that’s no obstacle, and its been a blast. They’re bringing a new approach to a very commonly used website feature: image sliders. Until now nobody’s tried for a more security conscious solution than the plugins that are in widespread use. And they’re adding some unique features like auto-updating slideshows that read slides from RSS feeds (and Instagram feeds, soon).
You can get started with SlideAwesome for free, and make a great looking slider with all the features of the paid plans. They have low cost paid plans that remove the branding, and give you more sliders that can be used on more domains.
