SnipSquirrel is Code stashing App for storing and reusing the code
SnipSquirrel is the simple to use code-stashing app that allows coders to rapidly store, access, re-use and share code. Their mission is to make coder’s lives easier and allow them to concentrate on building the apps rather than trying to remember how they did some code previously. With SnipSquirrel you can add a description, notes, tags and even URLs of resources you used to every code snippet. It has been built by coders, for coders.
SnipSquirrel was co-founded by Adam Clark and Scott Shaw in 2015.
Adam being slightly geeky and having Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Electronics on his qualification list (as well as secret history of programming Commodore 64s and BBC-Bs) Adam is heading up the build for you. A long history of working in marketing, sales and design as well as coding.Scott is a self confessed gadget-loving, web professional. Starting way back in the times of 256 colours and everything being built in Tables, Scott has ridden the internet wave, embracing every new version of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and new frameworks such as jQuery and Twitter Bootstrap as they appear. SnipSquirrel was Scott’s idea. So you can blame him.
With all of the ‘code storage’ solutions they have tried and tested, they never found one that did everything we wanted and this is why SnipSquirrel was born. They have combined all the best features of code snippet storage into one elegantly crafted app. SnipSquirrel is the simple to use code-stashing app that allows coders to rapidly store, share, access and re-use useful code. Snipsquirrel provides both FREE and paid for accounts. The free account has some limitations on the amount of ‘code snippets’ that can be stored and the length of each one. The paid account is only $9 (£6.50) per year and has no limitations. They will be introducing a ‘team account’ in the future. They do have some unobtrusive ‘Google Adverts’ at the bottom of the app.SnipSquirrel has been built by coders for coders, they are looking to continue to add more features and functionality in the near future and get the SnipSquirrel community to help decide what functionality they want and need!
