Time for an Upgrade? 5 ways you can analyze if your current smartphone really needs to be changed
When last did you visit a smartphone shop or a mall to purchase a new smartphone? What prompted you to buy the new phone? Did you wake up and find yourself in a shop and boom! Did you buy a new smartphone?
Let’s get real. You and most people are not an exception, have a shoe-string budget, thus can’t manage to change your smartphone periodically. That means you need to analyze correctly whether or not your smartphone needs to get replaced.
The same way, if your laptop’s efficiency has gone down you may need a replacement or look for laptop for rent offers.
What are the best ways to analyze if your current smartphone needs to be changed? Below are the ways you can analyze and know whether your smartphone needs to be replaced or not:
1. The Speed
Most phones are of different speeds, and you always purchase that smartphone that will serve you better regarding speed.
Usually, you will check the RAM and the phone’s processor to determine the speed. When both fall in the range of your preference, you get satisfied and purchase the phone.
Unfortunately, your phone will not stay in its perfect speed when it was bought. At some point, the speed will go down, why?
Well, people have preferences and so do you. Because you love music, you’ll download lots of music and applications on your phone.
Now, it’s because of this overload that will cause your phone’s speed to go down. At this point, you can’t improve your phone’s speed. You’ll be obliged to buy a new smartphone or rent mobiles online.
2. The Battery
When you bought your smartphone, you were advised to charge it for a certain period before using it.
For many days, you have used your phone, and the battery doesn’t drain fast. Unfortunately, your phone will not remain in this perfect state forever.
At some point, your battery will drain so fast that it can’t go past 24 hours. You will start charging it twice, thrice or more times in a day.
In this case, you need to replace your old smartphone with a new smartphone. You can opt to buy a new battery to cut on cost, but batteries purchased separately are never the best.
3. Power Button Isn’t Functioning
Nowadays, most smartphones that are produced have just one or two buttons, and one of them is usually the power button.
It doesn’t mean that your phone will be of no use when the power button doesn’t function properly, but the truth is that you won’t be able to use it efficiently.
What’s the point of having a phone that you can’t switch off or power on? It’s close to being useless. That hurts, but it’s the bitter truth. So, you need to get yourself a new phone.
4. Your Phone Reboots or Shuts Down Every Time
Ever had a phone that shuts itself down without you shutting it down? If you have experienced such, then it should be a cause of alarm.
Usually, this will be caused by battery fault, and you’ll have to choose between options: You’ll either replace your phone battery or replace your smartphone.
5. Apps Constantly Crashing
When Infinix launched their Hot 5 lite smartphone, consumers complained of app crashing, claiming it was because the Android version 7.0 wasn’t compatible with the device.
Maybe, that was a perception. Now, there’s a possibility that your apps will start crashing after some years when you bought it.
When you experience such, know that it’s time to get yourself a new phone.
Bottom Line
You don’t deserve to continue using a phone that’s not user-friendly. Get yourself a new phone because you deserve the best.
