AND-CO is a personal Chief Operator that helps you run your business. It is a support structure for independent workers. Through a combination of smart tech and real humans, AND-CO runs the admin work of the project-based freelancer. The Chief Operator (CO) handles invoicing clients, managing billing schedules, automatically tracking business expenses, and assisting with tax deductible questions and more.
The independent workforce is growing exponentially, but whenever someone becomes a freelancer, they make the same mistakes others have made before them. There is no standard to follow and no system in place that helps freelancers run their businesses right from the start. AND-CO aims in solving this problem.
About the Founders
Leif and Martin met a little over 10 years ago while working together in Germany. Leif is also a Partner at Prehype, a venture development firm in NYC and was the founder of Pay with a Tweet, which got acquired by Hanse Ventures. Martin was the global Creative Director for Mercedes-Benz while working at Jung von Matt in Germany. Both started working together again when Martin turned freelance and joined Leif on projects at Prehype.
AND-CO was founded in summer 2015. The company has already received funding from Thrive Capital, with participation from BoxGroup, Red Swan Ventures, and Designer Fund. Angels include Prehype, Scott Belsky and Josh Abramson.

While current products geared towards freelancers require them to learn accounting software and perform all business admin tasks themselves, AND-CO is designed to do it for them. Most of the experience is conversational and therefore intuitive. Users require zero previous knowledge or admin experience. And through the combination of software and human expertise, it’s a system that takes care of you, not the other way around.

How much does it cost?
There are basically 2 plans for AND-CO. The silver plan is the free plan that just requires a sign up and you are good to go. The Black plan is a premium plan that requires members to pay a monthly subscription for the service which provides a few extra features.
