With startup Beveragewala now tea and coffee a click away in India
BeverageWala, as the name suggests, is your online provider of premium beverages, particularly teas and coffees, right at your doorstep in India. They are a first of its kind Tea & Coffee e-Retailer in India. Hence their biggest USP is the fact that they are the only player focused on this, they have the widest variety of teas and coffees. At present, they have over 35 brands and 400 products which includes a wide variety of Black Teas, Green Teas, Oolong Teas, Herbal Teas, Red Teas, Infused Teas, Coffees and so on.
The startup was launched in March this year, and has been getting an average of 6,000 visitors every month. They have served around 250 orders so far.Their immediate goal is to scale up to 1000 orders in a running month at present
It has been founded by Manish Hada and his wife Puja Hada in March 2014. Manish has done a B.Sc. in Physics, followed by an MBA and an M.Sc. in Finance. Thereafter, he worked for three years in the marketing department of an educational institute in Gurgaon, India. Puja has done a BBA followed by an MBA. She also has worked in branding and advertising for two years. Currently it is just the founders and 1 more member Mr. Sajal Aggarwal. Manish looks after inventory and technology. Puja looks after the customer relations. Sajal looks after purchasing.
Based out of gurgaon they are self funded till date and have raised and invested around six lakh from family & friends.Their operations is primarily divided into two parts Customer Service & Logistics :
Customer Service : Being in very nascent stage their processes are largely manual. When they get an order, they call up the customer to confirm the same. They attempt to dispatch the material within 24 hrs (48 hrs maximum) and send the customer the courier details via email.
Logistics : They have tied up with 2 courier services and offer online payment as well as COD service to the customers. They have got a small warehousing space in Gurgaon. They are currently maintaining less inventory as they wish to assess which products are selling more. Once they have a better idea, they will purchase larger quantities of stock.
