NDCNext Door Chores makes it easy to find or crowd source tasks and small jobs in your area. Whether it’s skills and services you can provide or ones that you’re looking for, you’ll find it on Next Door Chores! They see Nextdoorchores as a site where Craigslist meets Fiverr for neighborhoods. Neighbors can buy, sell or trade help–with anything–with their neighbors. It’s essentially a free and localized “help” marketplace. They’re focusing on gaining traction in the DC metro area, where they live and work, before hopefully branching out to major cities nationwide. They think the concept can easily get sticky or go viral, so we expect to have a sizable user base and reach a few years from now.

Next Door Chores has three co-founders, Arin Karimian, Mansoor Yosufzai and David Fox, who all live and work in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area.

Arin is a seasoned journalist and digital content manager with a professional background in fields as diverse as mass media, political advocacy and health care.

Mansoor is an experienced federal IT contractor having worked as a business analyst, technical writer and quality assurance professional and has served as communications manager for a non-profit.

David is a platform-agnostic software developer, technologist, educator and mentor, as well as a volunteer, amateur astronomer, and lover of video games.

Small jobs, hired help, tasks, errands, gigs–you name it, they have it. You can find and provide help for literally anything. Need a skill or service? Post it and find affordable and convenient help. Have a skill or service of your own? Post an ad and find some customers. Work when you want, where you want and at the price you want–it’s entirely on your terms. With the extremely misleading unemployment rate and depressing levels of underemployment everywhere, they think everyone can benefit from some side and supplementary income. Why not try and make some money doing things you actually enjoy or are good at?There’s no limit to the type or frequency of chores you can outsource or do for others. There’s also a super-quick rating system so that good work by you, and by others, gets noticed. As for payments, you can make any arrangements you like with the paying party. Alternatively, you can barter in lieu of payment by agreeing to swap your skills or services for someone else’s.
