ZipBooks is an online invoicing software application that lets you send estimates and invoices to you potential customers and existing clients. Track your time, product, and expenses as projects or adhoc line items. When it is time to invoice clients it auto detect unbilled activity and prompt you to include any or all of the information. Because they make money when client use their optional payment services, ZipBooks is 100% free, forever.
The company was founded this year. Tim Chaves raised money from Peak Ventures (VC firm in Utah) in June.Tim recently graduated from HBS and was an intern at Google last summer. They are the only free accounting software with no banners ads, watermarks, etc. They also have built in financing options for small businesses.They make money through credit card processing and invoice financing. They believe that introducing small businesses to a way to collateralize their invoices at the same cost as a credit card processing fee will ease a lot of cash flow worries.

Send invoices in seconds regardless of the device you’re on.It’s beautiful and responsive in any browser, from any phone or laptop.Their primary goal is getting you paid faster – for example, by enabling you to accept credit card payments with ease. They receive a referral fee from their payment processing partners, but the transaction pricing they charge you remains market rate. Even if you choose not to use ZipBooks’s payment processing partners, the software is still 100% free for you to use!
